"The first rule of Fight Club is you don't talk about Fight Club."
It's a classic. You've probably heard it before.
This showed up on my Instagram feed today.
In my imagination, this is the first rule:
The first rule of Broken Dreams Club is dreams don't "break."
We push them around, set them on a shelf, and we quit them.
Maybe we allow ourselves to think we've aged out and they've expired.
But do they really break?
And if we believe they do, what's that do to our mindset?
How does that color our writing, our talking, our work and our plans?
Not asking rhetorically.
What do you think? Really. Drop a comment below.
P.S. Maybe it's time to make your own rules.
The best thing you can do for your career is help someone else with theirs.
